Among the actions being carried out by the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, F.S.P. (FECYT) as part of its strategic project ‘The Science of Science Communication’, the organisation has commissioned the Studies Centre on Science, Communication and Society at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (CCS-UPF) a study about the current state of science communication in Spain.

The study has three objectives:

1) to analyse the current state of science communication research;

2) to identify and analyse training programmes specialised in science communication (master’s and postgraduate degrees);

3) to map people and organisations that professionally engage in science communication. The three objectives focus on the geographical area of Spain.
